Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. I could not image that there was an authentic and amazing Chinese hotpot place in Ann Arbor. We missed several times because of the long waiting list. Reservations are recommended during dinner time. Service was professional. WiFi was fast. We ordered a lot of things and everything was fresh. I enjoyed the spicy and golden broths. Their sesame dipping sauce was authentic and delicious. Their beef and lamb got high quality. Some selections of fungi, vegetables, and internal organs were impressive. Highly recommend the beef, fish, tofu, mushrooms, hot pot balls, bamboo shoots, and plum tea. I hope there will be such a decent hotpot place in Columbus.

The waitstaff was very helpful. We never ate out at a hot pot resturant before. We were nervous. But the food was so good. It was a little more money than we were used to but, we got leftovers to take home. We had the chicken golden soup with pumpkin, bokcoy, garlic chicken raw egg, and knife noodles. Sauces are for dipping, your vegetables and meat in. We had the mushroom base soup with shiitacaki mushrooms, bokcoy, and knife noodles. The dates in the chicken soup were great. What a treat. Bring your appetite. Fresh food cooked in your hot soup. Jasmine tea was really hot and tastes really good. You will not be disappointed.

The food is delicious! So fresh so good! I recommend soup dumplings it’s so juicy it’s the best dumplings I’ve had in Michigan plz come and try. Shrimp dumplings are so good, it has whole shrimp inside you won’t regret getting them. And what surprised me is that everything is handmade.

if you like hot pot, you have to try palace tang at least once. the ingredients (meat, vegs) are fresh and tasty and the broth we get (Chongqing mild + medium, Golden Pot, Three Delicacies) are excellent (always!). The service is excellent, fast and very very friendly. The wait time never exceeded 20 min even in rush hour. I have gone in parties of 2 to 7 and never changed my opinions. I have visited this place many times every month since 2023, I have never regretted spending my money at palace tang. it’s one of my favorite restaurants in a2. My go-to sauce option: sesame or peanut paste, sesame oil and seeds, little bean curd, a lot of g onions and cilantro, a bit sugar and garlic. My recs on what to get: the plum juice!! start with 2 land proteins (lamb, beef) 1 sea protein (fish fillet or baby octopus), 1 carb/ starch (rice cakes) 1 veggies/ mushrooms (black fungus or bok choy). Remember you can always add more but can never return the food.
